Georgia Morley
After graduating from Falmouth University with a degree in design niching in sustainability, Georgia decided to research ways of creating art with as little impact on the planet as possible. This involves using homemade paints that don’t have any toxic ingredients in that harm our waterways when cleaning up in the sink, natural inks using pigments foraged locally from plants and using recycled surfaces to paint on or discarded board offcuts that would otherwise go to landfill.
A focus on the energy of Devon, Cornwall and the sea is the inspiration behind her abstract paintings rather than specific shapes with in the rocks and cliffs. She allows her emotion to rule her paint brush as the paintings come to life with strong blues and turquoises having a strong role to play.
