Julia creates art out of often overlooked items. Our local beaches are full of beach treasures and she loves putting them together to show the many wonderful colours and forms that can be found. Many pieces include shells, seaglass and sea pottery, to more unusual things like pieces of old clay pipe, pebbles with fossilised corals, and old brass buttons.


Her egg shell art takes many, many hours with many, many breakages! Local, free range eggs are used. Each one is carefully trimmed and painted with alcohol inks and acrylics then finished with gold leaf. Art from a humble chicken egg!
